Overview

We're seeking a Founding Public Sector GTM Lead to build our go-to-market foundation with law enforcement agencies, prosecutor's offices, and investigative organizations. This is not a quota-carrying sales role yet — it's about design partnerships, pilot pipeline, and understanding how public-sector buyers evaluate evidence technology before we launch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop go-to-market strategy for law enforcement and legal customers
  • Build relationships with design-partner agencies and key decision-makers
  • Navigate public sector procurement processes and compliance requirements
  • Conduct product demonstrations and stakeholder presentations
  • Support proposals, RFPs, and partnership discussions
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to translate customer needs into roadmap
  • Build and maintain a qualified pilot pipeline
  • Attend industry conferences and events to expand our network
  • Provide structured customer feedback to inform product development
  • Establish CRM discipline and sales operations foundations for scale

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Criminal Justice, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise B2B sales or public-sector business development
  • Track record of building relationships with government or law enforcement buyers
  • Experience selling to government, law enforcement, or legal organizations
  • Understanding of public sector procurement processes and compliance requirements
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to build trust with agency leadership and procurement stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 40%)
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling legal technology, e-discovery, or digital forensics solutions
  • Background in law enforcement, legal, or criminal justice
  • Understanding of CJIS compliance and security requirements
  • Network of contacts in law enforcement and legal communities
  • Experience with government contracting and GSA schedules
  • Knowledge of AI/ML and ability to explain technical concepts
  • Experience with complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Comfort building GTM motion at an early-stage company
