Overview

We're looking for a Legal Technology Advisor who understands both the legal system and technology. You'll work with prosecutors and legal stakeholders to ensure ClearPath.AI meets rigorous standards for courtroom use. Your role is to translate legal requirements into product decisions while the platform is still being built.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal expertise on evidence admissibility and courtroom requirements
  • Advise the founding team on legal and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Review product features for defensibility and chain of custody compliance
  • Develop legal documentation and user guides for prosecutors and legal teams
  • Gather feedback from prosecutors and legal teams to inform product development
  • Stay current with legal precedents related to digital evidence and AI
  • Assist with legal research on evidence standards and admissibility rules
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure technical implementations meet legal standards
  • Represent EvidaraIQ at legal technology conferences and events
  • Help shape beta and pilot programs with legal stakeholders

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 3+ years of experience as a prosecutor, defense attorney, or legal technology consultant
  • Experience with digital evidence in criminal or civil proceedings
  • Understanding of evidence rules, chain of custody, and admissibility standards
  • Familiarity with e-discovery and legal technology tools
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to translate legal requirements into technical specifications
  • Experience working with technology teams or legal tech companies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience prosecuting or defending cases involving digital evidence
  • Knowledge of AI/ML and its applications in legal proceedings
  • Experience with evidence presentation software and courtroom technology
  • Understanding of federal and state evidence rules across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., CJIS, HIPAA, GDPR)
  • Published articles or presentations on legal technology or digital evidence
  • Experience with legal technology product development
  • Network of contacts in law enforcement and legal communities
